New Naturalization Civic Test
U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services has announced that it is revising the current U.S. citizenship test.
The 2020 U.S. Citizenship Test, first introduced under the first Trump Administration and discontinued in 2021 under the Biden Administration, will now be reinstated as the 2025 U.S. Citizenship Test, a revised test based on the 2020 test.
The 2020 version of the test had more challenging questions and lower pass rates than the current version, but the current Trump administration intends to reinstate the 2020 version.
The revised U.S. citizenship test will be administered to applicants submitting naturalization applications on or after October 20, 2025.
