Biography

Asami provides comprehensive legal assistance in the areas of corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, contracts, commercial leases and immigration law. Prior to joining Go Law Group, she worked for the State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General (Family Law Division) for eleven and a half years. As a Deputy Attorney General, Asami represented various Hawaii State agencies, including the Department of Human Services, the Department of Education, and the Department of Health, in family court.

Born in Kobe, Asami grew up in Southern California, Chiba, and Tokyo. She graduated from the International Christian University (ICU) High School in Tokyo and earned a B.A. in Economics from Hitotsubashi University. Asami earned her J.D. from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii, where she served as a Technical Editor for the U.H. Law Review and worked as a Research Assistant to Professor Jon Van Dyke. Asami is admitted to practice law in the states of Hawaii and Illinois (inactive).
